Non-clothing items — medicine, water, rice, toiletries, and food — are now at 5,055 units. 238 kilos of canned goods have been received. Total cash and check donations stand at Php95,292.00 In addition to the 1,000 relief good packs distributed yesterday, volunteers at DLSU — 228 all in all — have distributed 1,060 bags to communities in Tatalon, San Mateo, Masambong, Bugong, and Valenzuela. Reports of missing individuals from the academic community, as well as areas requiring immediate assistance, are welcome via the numbers posted. ___________________________________________________________ { Update as of 29 September 2009, 1:00 PM }1,090 packs of relief goods were distributed this morning to communities in Cainta, Bagumbong, Tondo, Malabon, and via Adamson University—bringing total distribution for the day to 2,150 bags. Non-clothing items and canned goods received on campus are currently estimated to be worth Php62,531, on aggregate. 85 more volunteers joined the corps of students, faculty, alumni, and non-DLSU students currently engaged in packing and deploying donated items.
