Santos Is Runner-up At NCGA Net Amateur Championship

Sept. 30, 2008 -- Arlo Santos nabbed 2nd place honors at the Director's Flight division of the 2008 Northern California Golf Association Net Amateur Championship held today at the Poppy Hills Golf Course in Livermore. The championship was a 2-day event that started yesterday. Arlo shot the second day's lowest net score of 66 to bring his two-day total to 7-under par 137, just a mere stroke off the eventual champion Rishi Prasad. Arlo's DLS Greens teammate, Jojo Espiritu, faded to 10th place after his 4th place first round standing. Jojo scored 68 in the first round but ballooned to a 75 in the final round. Still, it was a remarkable performance over a competitive field of 64 NCGA golfers. The division, made of golfers with indices between 10.3 and 16.3,  was one of three championships that was concluded today. The DLS Greens Club only fielded two entries in the Director's Flight and both landed in the Top 10.
