Noguera, Africa Top Callippe Tourney

Manny Noguera scored an impressive 8-under-par net 64 to top the Masters division of the DLS Greens' monthly tournament held last April 18 at the challenging Callippe Preserve Golf Course in Pleasanton. Manny was red-hot in the front nine where he scored a gross 2-over-par 38 before cooling down in the back nine. Still, Manny's gross 83 gross score was notable since he finished double and triple bogey, respectively, in the last two holes.  Arlo Santos beat  Ramon Dumancas in a tie-breaker to claim 2nd and 3rd place honors, respectively.

In the Classics division, Dino Africa and Joji Mercado both scored net 74s but the former edged out the latter in a tie-breaker to get top honors. Another tie-breaker was done to determine the third placer, which eventually went to Tony Colmenares (over Bobby Panlasigue), who scored a 3-over-par net 75.

The day's low gross bragging rights went to Ron Riego de Dios who scored a very respectable 4-over par 76 at the 134-slope rated 6,409 yard course.

Matt Hizon and Arlo Santos are on top of the 2-tournament-old cumulative Golf-of-the-Year Award standings with 170 points each. Manny Noguera and Ron Riego de Dios are third and fourth placers with 160 and 150 points, respectively.
