August 15, 2009 - The DLS Greens 2009 season continued in Summitpointe Golf Club, a tough course with a slope rating of 131 despite a relatively short 6,063 yards, par-68. Summitpointe is located amid homes in an exclusive gated community in the rolling hills of Milpitas, CA. The weather could not have been more pleasant in the low 80s with light breeze to neutralize the heat.

Clement Yu breezed through the Masters division by 4 strokes, scoring net 68 and posting the day's lowest gross score of 89. Second and third places went to Jojo Flores and Frank Roxas, respectively. Both scored net 72 but Jojo won via a tie-breaker. Both Jojo and Frank actually had better front nine scores than Clem but ballooned in the 50s at the back nine while Clem played steady golf.

In the Classics division, top honors went to Jim Feyzbakhsh, who scored net 67. Second place went to Art Dancel, who pasted net 70, and third place went to Joji Mercado, who scored  net 74.

In the ongoing Golfer-of-the-Year cumulative standings, Manny Noguera maintained his slim lead of 10 points at 410 over second-placer Matt Hizon. The win of Clement catapulted him up to third place from last month's seventh place at 370 points.
