DLS Greens Is Top 7th in NCGA

Pebble Beach -- The DLS Greens team composed of Ron Riego, Monching Dumancas, Arlo Santos and Manny Noguera placed a respectable 7th among 30 of the best teams in Northern California in the final round of the Northern California Golf Association (NCGA) Associate Club Championship held last August 31 and Sept. 1 at two tough but beautiful courses, Spyglass Hill and Poppy Hills at the scenic Monterey Peninsula.  The team actually did better at the tougher Spyglass Hill golf course where it  scored net 130  compared to Poppy Hills where they carded 129.  The DLS Greens net total of 259 was 29 under par. The team's score at Spyglass was 5th lowest; at Poppy Hills , the DLS Greens placed 10th. Everybody played well and the courses were really great. Congratulations to the team and may we do better next year.

The winning team  of Agilent Soco fired a 40-under net 248 in the format that takes the best two of four scores per hole, a format that mirrors the setup of the NCGA Zone Championship program for regular golf clubs (a championship run concurrently with the Associate Club Championship). The tournament is the culmination of several qualifying events over the past several months involving teams from more than 260 associate clubs of the NCGA. The top 30 teams from sectional qualifying qualified for the championship.
