The Jesuit Superior General, Pedro Arupe once wrote: “Nothing is more practical than finding God, that is, falling in love in a quite absolute, final way. What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination will affect everything. It will decide what will get you out of bed in the mornings, what you will do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends, what you read, who you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude. Br. Roly Dizon, FSC, who served as President/Principal at De La Salle University, St. La Salle University, La Salle Green Hills and Provincial/Brother Visitor of the Philippine District of the Christian Brothers, among others, passed on early evening of April 25 at De La Salle University Medical Center in Dasmarinas, Cavite. He was 67.

Br. Roly touched many lives during his mentorship not only with Lasallians but with the so-called civil society in the Philippines. A brief account of his life can be read at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolando_Ramos_Dizon .

A pre-scheduled mass for Br. Roly will be held at La Salle Green Hills on Friday April 27.

Dear Alumni,

Just a reminder that the DLSU Centennial Coffeetable Book launch is tomorrow at 6:30 pm, at Round Hill Country Club, Vista South Room, 3169 Round Hill Road, Alamo. Food and drinks will be served and shortly after, Bro. Bernie Oca, FSC will do a short presentation followed by group photos. This is a fun and social event that I hope each and every one of you can participate. Those who cannot attend, but would like to purchase a copy are encouraged to contact the undersigned.. All proceeds to this event will benefit One La Salle Scholarship Fund.

DIZON FSC on FRIDAY, APRIL 27, 2012, 6:30PM at the NATIONAL SHRINE OF THE DIVINE CHILD (NSDC) of LA SALLE GREEN HILLS. Br. Roly founded the LSGHAA in 1979 and served as President of LSGH, DLSU, USLS and was Provincial of the De La Salle Brothers – Philippine District.
