Call to order 8:15 P.M.
We received a letter dated Feb. 25, 2012 from Yolanda Aquino which stated that she is resigning her post as treasurer of the association. Manny Noguera moved to accept the resignation, Chito de los Santos seconded the motion and was carried. In the interim, the responsibilities of the treasurer will be shared by the board members.
Centennial Celebration
A T-shirt is being designed to commemorate the centennial celebration to be sold as a fund raiser for the chapter. The design would be a collared shirt with the DLSAANC logo. Chito and Irvin to inquire at for quotes on the shirts.
A successful launching of the DLSU Centennial Book was held on April 24, 2012 with Bro. Bernie Oca as our special guest. The event held at Roundhill Country Club in Alamo, CA. Irvin Sevilla is currently taking orders for the book. Cost is $145.00 each.
Summer Picnic
The summer picnic of the association has been set for Sunday, June 24, 2012 at St. Mary’s College in Moraga CA. The members, their families and friends are invited. It will be a potluck. Please bring your favorite dish to share and 2 2L bottles of soda. The Assoc. will provide BBQ chicken, charcoal, utensils, plates and napkins. Push membership dues at the picnic, at $35 each.
Request to invite DLS Zobel Alumni to actively join our association.
Picnic activities/responsible person/s: Face painting for the kids (Irvin), golf pitching (Matt & Dino), surprise game (Nogy).
50/50 (Vegas) Raffle tickets will be sold at $5 per ticket. Members are requested to bring gift donations for raffle prizes. Bottled water will be sold for $1.00 as fund raiser.
Fun Night
July 28, 2012 is our Fun Night (Casino Night – renamed) to be held at the Narciso residence which is another fundraiser for the association. Irvin, Emma and Clem to bring mah-jong table and set. Manny to contact Tom Umali to lead poker games. Members, family and friends are all invited
Centennial Yearbook
The association will advance the $1,266.63 cost of printing the yearbook. Actual invoice has been forwarded to the board and Orly will issue a check. Irvin to follow up to collect from the members.
