MINUTES:
Meeting called to order at 9:25PM
Treasurer’s Report:
Yo presented the financial statement as of August 25th. A $900 check was made to De La Salle Lipa for the (Stephen) Rabisa Scholarship. The financial statement included a $2000 pass through for Charmel Education Fund. A $100 fee was received for the pass through. The financial statement was approved by the board.
Kundirana:
The board discussed the logistics of hosting the Kundirana, in particular, addressing housing for the Kundirana boys & staff, and asking DLSAANC members for help. The board also considered either alternative housing (hotel) or renting a house. For the next two weeks, the members of the board will do its due diligence in gathering information and planning logistics. Caloy will look into venues, while Dino and Irvin will scout out alternatives for sound systems and lighting. If after two weeks, the board finds that the organization won’t be able to host the Kundirana event, Irvin will seek out Tom’s help in drafting a letter to Br. Gus. Jojo, Arnold and Irvin will meet with the Philippine Consul General (ConGen) to ask for assistance in possibly sponsoring or recommending sponsors and/or hosts for the Kundirana
Fil Am Golf:
The fund raiser event is scheduled on September 17th at Monarch Bay. Irvin to follow up with the contract / deposit, and forward the email requesting $220 insurance to Yo. We need to recruit players. The Fil Am Golf is open to all.
Paypal:
We can open a business account with PayPal to process membership fees to both DLSAANC and DLS Greens. Under paypal, cost is 2.4% + .30 cents per transaction. We may increase membership by $1 to $36 to cover Paypal fees. We can also arrange to have a PayPal link on our webpage.
Christmas Party:
Irvin to send out ticket design for Christmas Party..
